Hollywood Hills

Hollywood Hills

The Hollywood Hills is an expansive area of Los Angeles in the southeastern Santa Monica Mountains. It is bounded by Crescent Heights to the west, Vermont Avenue to the east, Mulholland Drive and Griffith Park to the north, and Sunset Boulevard to the south.  Homes in the Hollywood Hills contain some of the most spectacular views in Los Angeles and many are valued for their privacy, architecture and location away from main thoroughfares.

The Hollywood Hills contain many diverse communities ranging from the free-spirited artists and musicians in Laurel Canyon to the wealthy professionals who inhabit the all single family residences in the planned community of Mount Olympus to the nature lovers and outdoor folks who favor the lush landscapes and diverse animal life that centers around the year-round, spring-fed creek and 100-foot tall water fall in Nichols Canyon.  Sunsets Hills is an extremely affluent, exclusive community just above the famed Chateau Marmont on Sunset and boasts the largest concentration of celebrities residing in Los Angeles, while Beachwood Canyon is a more secluded community in the northern area of the Hollywood Hills and the upper portion of the canyon is the Hollywoodland that was originally advertised in the 1920s by the Hollywood Sign. The canyon features its own market, coffee shop and stables.

Residents of the Hollywood Hills enjoy close proximity to the shopping, nightlife, and bustle of both the Sunset Strip to the south and the San Fernando Valley to the north.  The entertainment and dining options open to Hollywood Hills residents are unsurpassed by any other area in Los Angeles.  The Hills also contain some of the best hiking and outdoor activities in the Los Angeles area including the Hollywood Reservoir, which offers a breathtaking 4-mile loop around a lovely lake that is one of the quietest and most secluded bodies of water in the city.  Runyon Canyon park has trails for everyone from beginners to expert hikers and also is home to the most well-known dog park in the city.
